MIRE (Ex-AS I LAY DYING, ALLEGAEON) Release New Single, "The Master"

4 hours ago 3

It seems as if people just thrive as soon as they're out of the As I Lay Dying environment and its consistent drama – as ex-guitarist Nick Hipa is proving with his current project, Mire.

Their newest single, "The Master" features a rather crispy solo from Hipa himself and he's accompanied by vocalist Benton McKibben, bassist/guitarist Ryan Glisan (ex-Allegaeon), and drummer JP Andrade through an intense, trudging track.

Their forthcoming record, Pale Reflection, will be out on April 10th, and it'll be the first Mire record with this lineup. Hipa previously described in the album announcement that he was “stoked to finally release some new @thebandmire music! The best time to drop new tunes was actually in 2023 when we had the whole record written, the second best time was in 2024 after we finally found the time to track it. [Everyday] life, responsibilities, and logistics proved to be formidable obstacles for those targets though, so the THIRD best time is right now.”

"The Master" is the third single from the record to be released so far, and is available for streaming on Bandcamp, and Pale Reflection is available for pre-order here.
