Miss Grit announces new LP ‘Under My Umbrella’ & shows, shares “Stranger”

NY-based musician Margaret Sohn has announced their second album as Miss Grit. Under My Umbrella, the follow-up to 2023’s very good Follow the Cyborg, is due out April 24 via Mute. It features collaborations with Aron Kobayashi Ritch and Preston Fulks (Momma), Sae Heum Han (mmph), Margaux, Eva Liu and Luciano (mui zyu), and Zachary Mezzo (Catcher). “Before, I was really timid about what I said and didn’t say, and that all ended up being molded into something that didn’t feel as relatable to me as it once did,” Sohn says. “Part of it is due to honoring my feelings and trying to be more honest in my writing. I feel a deep connection to this record that I haven’t felt about my music until now.”

Under My Umbrella features Miss Grit’s October single “Tourist Mind,” and they’ve given us another preview with “Stranger,” a twisty electronic track. Watch the video below.
