‘Moana 2’ Composers Barlow & Bear Play the Soundtrack

The songwriters of  “Moana 2” join SiriusXM’s Disney Hits (Ch. 133) for a special “Extra Magic Hour,” sharing songs from the brand-new Disney movie’s soundtrack in celebration of its release. According to the bio on their website, Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, a musical duo known as Barlow & Bear, are the youngest composers in history to write all the songs for an animated Disney film, and the first female writing team to do so, collaborating with Mark Mancina and Opetaia Foa’i to craft the sounds of Motunui and beyond. The duo’s first collaboration, “The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical” album, won the 2022 GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
