The announcement follows a string of previous single releases following the band's formation last year, including lead single "Prevail", which dropped in February.
Speaking about the new song, Mouth Ulcers share: “‘Closer To You’ is about the inescapable pull toward someone, being completely surrendered to their beauty and the obsessive devotion you have towards them whilst also trying to navigate one’s self control.”
Formed by vocalist/guitarist Zak Watson, Josephine Rose (guitar/vocals), Jamie-Lee Culver (bass), and David Zbirka (drums), Mouth Ulcers have only recently made their live debut, selling out shows in the UK and the Netherlands with their darker, gothic approach to post-punk.
