MUNA have pointedly shared a plea for a “free Palestine” after unwittingly featuring on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live alongside Gal Gadot, one of Hollywood’s most vocal pro-Israel voices. Gadot has continued to court controversy concerning her ardent support of Israel. She served as part of the Israeli Defence Force in the ‘00s and has consistently defended its actions, which have been described by both the United Nations and Amnesty International as genocidal. In 2023, she also joined several celebrities in signing an open letter voicing their support for Israel, and previously said her “conscience was clean” because she “felt like I had to advocate for the hostages“.
