Nekrogoblikon have announced a new EP, The Boiling Sea, out April 17th.
Among the EP’s five new songs is the single “Secret Elephant,” which features a guest spot that goes along with the release’s aquatic themes: Reel Big Fish.

The ska band’s horn section takes the spotlight during the song’s intro, before Nekrogoblikon unleash the death metal and the throat-shredding dual-vocal attack of John Goblikon and Dickie Allen. Reel Big Fish circle back for the chorus — a full-on ska metal romp.
The Boiling Sea was produced and mixed by Jason Suecof (Job for a Cowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder) and also includes the 2025 singles “Show Me Your Goblin” and “Fiend.” The tracklist is bolstered by live cuts of five staples from Nekrogoblikon’s back catalog.
“Writing for this release began in the midst of constant touring and right after bringing on a new vocal duo, so we found ourselves in new territories both in terms of pace and creative process,” said guitarist Alex Alereza in a press release. “And that ended up being a good thing! We had a blast making this together and hope everyone enjoys these songs as much as we do. And for the Nekro fans that have been with us for a very long time, we decided to include live recordings of five Nekro classics!”
Leading up the EP’s release, the band will embark on a Spring North American tour with Japanese metal group Hanabie. Dates kick off March 5th in Salt Lake City, and you can get tickets here.
