Nina Winder-Lind makes End of the Road solo debut with six-piece band

“I was really nervous today… Everything is still very fresh and exciting and scary,” Winder-Lind said, leading five other players who shuffled instruments after most songs: including cornet, saxophone, trombone, and flute, with lead guitar from Finlay Burrows, her New Eves bandmate Ella Oona Russell playing "everything," and Winder-Lind herself alternating between guitar and piano. The set drew exclusively on Winder-Lind’s one studio album, 11 tracks of ‘70s-downtown-New-York-esque rock and roll, a shift from The New Eves’ chanted, pagan style, which they call "Hagstone rock". She closed with the album closer "Foremothers", which she told Harry Edmundson in our recent feature is about the women who "fought and grew food and looked after the land" so that she could be here. “This Is Our Life”, “Girls”, and “Headfirst” were the album’s other singles.
