After seemingly teasing a Hole tour earlier this week, Courtney Love has since clarified that she’s actually planning a run of shows with the alt-rock group’s onetime bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, and not a full band reunion.

As previously reported, Love shared video clips of Auf der Maur on Instagram set to Hole’s “Malibu,” tagging the bassist and writing, “So do we tell the kids about the tour @xmadmx?”
However, after seeing Spin‘s Instagram post reporting on the potential Hole reunion, Love commented, “No Hole reunion,” but added that she and Auf der Maur would be “playing some shows, new songs.” She also added a comment to her original IG post, writing, “Me and @xmadmx touring new songs.”
Hole haven’t played a show since April 2012, and it appears they won’t be playing any new shows anytime soon. But fans can take solace in being able to see half a Hole in the near future.
