"Telephone Games" follows Oliver Sim's 2022 debut solo album Hideous Bastard, and his most recent single, "Obsession", released just last month.
The new single sees Sim, who is known as the bassist of indie pop trio The xx, join forces with Bullion — the alias of songwriter and producer Nathan Jenkins. The pair first collaborated on "Obsession", which was co-produced by Bullion and Taylor Skye.
In addition to pursuing solo work, Sim is presently working on The xx's fourth album. The band have recently made appearances at Milan Fashion Week, Jamie XX's instalment of LIDO Festival, and were recently announced as part of the line-up for Primavera Sound 2026.
"Telephone Games" is accompanied by a video directed by photographer and filmmaker Sharna Osbourne, which was teased with calling cards placed around London.
