Aw shit, Olivia Rodrigo went and started her own festival! Rodrigo just released her excellent third album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and now she's announced plans for Daisy Chain Fields, a single-day fest with a cross-generational all-female lineup that includes a ton of rock legends and exciting newcomers.
The big show goes down Aug. 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. Rodrigo will perform, and the lineup includes her friend and collaborator Chappell Roan, as well as big names like Bikini Kill, Mitski, the Breeders, Garbage, Katseye, Santigold, and Doechii. The poster also has three big names listed as "special guests": Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O.
I can't really talk about the undercard, since the poster lists all the names alphabetically, but it makes room for some exciting upcoming acts, including Die Spitz, Rachel Chinouriri, Quiet Light, Eli, and María Zardoya's Marías side project Not For Radio. It's a benefit, too. All the proceeds go to charities dedicated to women and girls.
Ticket presales start 6/24 at 10AM Pacific time, and you can sign up here.
