"One of the best songs I’ve ever heard": Waxahatchee covers This Is Lorelei

Box for Buddy, Box for Star (Super Deluxe) pairs each track from the original album with a cover or collaboration from Amos’s peers, family and friends. The latest preview is "Where’s Your Love Now? (Waxahatchee Version)", a studio recording of a cover Katie Crutchfield has been performing live. The track includes backing vocals from Amos himself.

Crutchfield said: “I think Nate is one of the best songwriters of this moment, making music that feels current and timeless and also somehow ahead of a curve. When I heard ‘Where’s Your Love Now?’ I thought it was one of the best songs I’ve ever heard.”

The super deluxe edition also includes previously released versions such as "Perfect Hand (Power Snatch Version)" by Hayley Williams and Daniel James, alongside contributions from Snail Mail, SASAMI, and Amos’ father and sister, Bob & Sarah Amos. Jeff Tweedy appears on "My Boy Limbo", while Tim Heidecker closes the tracklist with "An Extra Beat For You and Me".

Box for Buddy, Box for Star was originally released in 2023. Paramore’s Hayley Williams said: “Nate feels like a classic American songwriter. I listen to his writing and think, ‘Man, I wish I could do that.’”
