"World End" arrives after lead single "Wasting" released back in November, and brings together influence from Mazzy Star, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The Sundays to expand upon Opal Mag's hazy, atmospheric sound.
Discussing the new song, she explains: “‘World End’ is an exploration of emotional imbalance, where one person’s pain is minimised while another’s takes centre stage, revealing how that imbalance can be quietly reinforced to serve someone else’s sense of control - kicking them when they’re down."
Goodbye Lavender follows Opal Mag's early singles I Don't Like You, But I Love You and Kitchen Song released last year, with the upcoming album arriving as her first-ever collection of songs.
Having previously supported acts including Black Honey, Overpass, and Phoebe Green, she is also set to embark on a run of live dates to bring the songs to stage, which will include shows in London, Brighton, Bristol, Nottignham, Oxford, and Portsmouth.
