Pallbearer have announced a late summer North American tour playing the album Foundations of Burden in its entirety.
The tour kicks off in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 20th, passing through Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Denver before closing down in Lexington, Kentucky on September 25th. Support will be provided by sludge metal band Slowhole and progressive death metal band Ordh, whom we featured on Mining Metal in April.
Tickets go on sale for select dates this Wednesday, July 1st, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, with the remainder of the shows available via the band’s website.
Pallbearer stated, “We can’t overstate how great it’s been to revisit this record and share the experience of it with so many people over the past year. It’s always been a hugely impactful record for us, and letting it live and breathe over the course of the year has been such a joyful opportunity. We plan for these shows to be the final North American tour dates for the album so if you’ve been hoping for an chance to dwell within Foundations’ sonics, don’t miss out! We are also completely thrilled to have two captivating and masterful bands in Slowhole and Ordh along for these dates!”
This tour acts as the second North American jaunt for the progressive doom band following their spring run earlier this year featuring grindcore act Knoll and heavy metal band Blood Vulture. Both tours have been in celebration of the re-recording of their second LP Foundations of Burden, initially released in 2014 before its total sonic refurbishment released in 2025.
