Somewhere between a band and a bit, CŒUR ACIDE have arrived and they’re not interested in explaining themselves. The retro-futurist duo, composed of Canadian producer Pat Lok and Haitian-Mexican vocalist F-MACK, operate less like a musical project and more like a transmission from a timeline that never quite happened. Picture Empire of the Sun crashing a Hercules and Love Affair afterparty in a dystopia where intimacy has been outlawed. That’s the premise.

“TOUCH ME (All Night Long),” is the first taste of the pair’s forthcoming self-titled EP; a glossy, italo-coded plea that plays like the last dance before the lights go out for good. It’s dramatic in the way only italo disco can get away with being dramatic, leaning into the late ’80s / early ’90s club glamour the duo have staked their entire mythology on.
