Paul Thomas Anderson Reveals First Look at One Battle After Another Starring Leo DiCaprio: Watch Teaser

Paul Thomas Anderson has offered the first look at One Battle After Another, his upcoming crime thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Sean Penn, Alana Haim, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, and Benicio del Toro. The brief 20-second teaser (seen below) arrives ahead of a full-length trailer due out next week.

One Battle After Another marks Anderson’s first project since Licorice Pizza in 2021. The film is loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s Vineland, marking Anderson’s second adaptation of Pynchon’s works following Inherent Vice in 2014.

Warner Bros. is betting big on One Battle After Another. Not only did the studio give Anderson the biggest production budget of his career — reportedly in the $140 million range — but it’s windowed the release for awards season. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on September 26th, 2025.
