Post Animal have announced they reunited with former member Joe Keery for their new album, Iron, out July 25th. The group has also set a headlining tour (minus Keery) beginning in November, and released lead single “Last Goodbye.” Stream it below.
Iron marks Post Animal’s first album featuring their original six-piece lineup in nearly a decade. It was written and produced by bandmates Dalton Allison, Jake Hirshland, Javier Reyes, Wesley Toledo, and Matthew Williams with Keery, who left the group in 2017 to focus on his role in Stranger Things, and has since released music as Djo.
“This record felt like a revitalization of our friendships and our band,” Hirshland said in a press statement. “We always work collaboratively, but it’s amazing how reintroducing Joe into the mix brought back that dynamic from 2017.”
Post Animal are currently supporting Djo on his “Back to You” tour (get tickets here). After that tour wraps up on June 25th, the band will kick off their own headlining run across the US in November, including shows in Philadelphia, Chicago, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and more. See the full schedule below.
Tickets for Post Animal’s headlining shows in Chicago, St. Louis, and San Francisco will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. An artist pre-sale (sign up here) for other dates is set to begin at the same time, followed by the general on-sale on Friday, April 25th at 10:00 a.m. ET, also via Ticketmaster.
Keery released The Crux, his third record under the Djo moniker, this April via AWAL.
