The Pussycat Dolls' comeback is not going as planned. First, there was drama about Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar's exclusion from the new lineup, which consists only of Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts. Now, the group has canceled all but one North American tour dates.
On social media, PCD's statement reads, "Dolls: We want to share an important update with you. When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we've made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates."
The pop veterans explained that the only North American performance that isn't canceled is their slot at the Outloud Music Festival for WeHo Pride. "The LGBTQ+ community has shown us so much love and support throughout our career, and we're honored to be part of a weekend rooted in joy, pride, music, and chosen family," they wrote. Their UK and European will still happen since "the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out."
This is the second time the Pussycat Dolls have canceled a reunion tour. A 10-date run was slates for 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, and then eventually canceled altogether. In 2022, Sutta and Bachar shared a joint statement to fans saying:
We want to say how incredibly disappointed we are to learn of an announcement made on Instagram that the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is canceled. As of now, there has been no official notification of that. Either way, it seems as though it’s the end of a chapter to an incredible, life-altering experience filled with some awesome memories that we will forever be grateful for.
Refunds will be issued automatically to fans who purchased tickets directly through Ticketmaster and AXS.
