Sylvan Esso return with new song, "Hot Slob"

"Hot Slob" is the pair's first new music of 2026, with their most recent full-length release being 2022's No Rules Sandy. The track was recorded at their studio Betty’s in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with Amelia Meath on vocals and Nick Sanborn on bass, guitar, drums and vocals, with additional drums from TJ Maiani (Weyes Blood, Neneh Cherry), and additional bass, electric guitar and vocals from Jenn Wasner (Flock of Dimes, Bon Iver).

Sylvan Esso are also set to debut their largest live show yet. From 15-20 June at Los Angeles’ Sid the Cat Auditorium, they will host a sold-out, week-long residency, sharing new songs and rehearsing with the extensive live band they will now be taking on the road this year and next for more than two dozen shows across North America.
