Ray J has claimed he doesn’t have long to live after recently being hospitalized for pneumonia and heart issues.

“2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” the singer and actor said on Instagram Live, despite a friend’s encouragement to stay positive. “That’s what [the doctor] said.”

Later in the stream, Ray J expressed regret for partying hard, but said he took comfort in ensuring his family’s financial security. “My baby mama gon’ be straight. My kids gon’ be straight,” he said. “If they want to spend all the money, they can spend it, but I did my part.”

“I’m not supposed to drink, but it doesn’t matter. That’s it for me,” he said at another point. “Time tells everything, and [the doctors] gave me my time. I’m not going to tell y’all when, but it’s sooner than later.”

He then thanked his parents, who are taking him to “one more check-up,” and his sister, Brandy, who he says is covering his expenses “for the rest of the year.”

In an Instagram video posted over the weekend, Ray J revealed that he had “almost died” while recently in the hospital. “My heart’s only beating 25%, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, it’ll be alright,” he said, adding, “Thank you for all your prayers.”

As previously reported by TMZ, Ray J was hospitalized in Las Vegas earlier this month with a severe case of pneumonia and heart pains. He had previously been diagnosed with non-COVID pneumonia in 2021.
