RAYE Announces Sophomore Album THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE.

RAYE has announced her new album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. One of our most anticipated records of the year, the British artist’s sophomore LP is due out out March 27th via Human Re Sources.

THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. is broken into four “seasons,” split evenly across the sides of the 2xLP version, promising to “take listeners on a sonic journey that begins in darkness and ends with light.” In a press statement, RAYE said, “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

A tracklisting hasn’t been unveiled, but pre-orders reveal the album will contain 17 tracks. See the album cover artwork (credited to photographer Aliyah Otchere) below.

The news comes as RAYE launches the European leg of her “THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC” trek. That trip will run through March (get tickets here), after which she’ll tour around North America between March 31st and May 13th.
