Resident Evil creators Capcom have confirmed a 30th anniversary tour will take place later this year.
The original Resident Evil game was released in 1996 and challenged you to escape an eerie mansion filled with blood-thirsty zombies using your wits and an increasingly-deadly arsenal of weapons. The critically-acclaimed game inspired a number of sequels and spin-offs, as well as helping define the survival horror genre.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, Capcom has announced details of a concert tour. ‘Resident Evil: Symphony Of Legacy’ will feature music from “throughout” the Resident Evil series from the 1996 original to the recently-released Requiem. “It’s time to relive the terrifying experience at concert halls,” explains the official tour website.

‘Resident Evil: Symphony Of Legacy’ is a “musical journey through one of the most influential horror universes in pop culture history—bringing together, for the first time, the worlds of video games and cinema in a single live experience,” explains a press release. “This concert tour revives the myth of Resident Evil in a powerful new form: live, immersive, and utterly captivating.”
“Carefully selected visual elements accompany the performance, immersing the audience in the dark aesthetic of Resident Evil without detracting from the musical focus. The result is an immersive live experience that combines horror, nostalgia, and symphonic power, bridging gaming culture, cinematic art, and classical concert tradition.”
So far, Capcom has confirmed a string of European ‘Resident Evil: Symphony Of Legacy’ shows for later this year with North American dates to be announced “soon”.
