Since becoming a new dad again back in 2023, Robert De Niro has turned into something of a super fan of The Wiggles. If you google “Robert De Niro and Wiggles,” you’ll find countless interviews of the legendary actor expressing his admiration for the the Australian children’s group. “I didn’t know of them until I started seeing them, and my daughter loves to watch them,” he told BBC Radio 2 in one such interview earlier this year. “They’re great…They have a lot of energy.”
They say “never meet your heroes,” but over the weekend De Niro did exactly that when he and his two-year-old daughter, Gia, got to visit The Wiggles backstage before their New York City concert — and perhaps no one looked more excited than De Niro himself.
