Rock & roll is in Buck Meek’s blood on new single “Ring of Fire”

I’ve been loving the new Buck Meek song “Gasoline” and feeling really excited about his upcoming album The Mirror (maybe you heard me talk about it on the new episode of BV Weekly), and today that excitement increases with second single “Ring of Fire.”

This is another really good one. Like “Gasoline,” it’s a heartfelt love song (“Be my bride, my lover/Would you be the mother of my child?”), but low-key the highlight is when Buck Meek and his Big Thief bandmate Adrianne Lenker harmonize on “rock & roll is in my blood,” a moment that feels like a sequel to the best song on Big Thief’s 2025 album Double Infinity, “Grandmother.” Check it out below.
