Rising Los Angeles pop-punk band Rocket has announced their debut album. R is for Rocket will release on October 3rd via Transgressive Records and Canvasback. Coinciding with the news, they’ve released the single “Wide Awake,” which you can listen to below.

R Is For Rocket was produced by guitarist Desi Scaglione and will include the band’s previously released singles “Crossing Fingers” and “One Million.” “All of the touring led to the songs changing for the better,” frontwoman Alithea Tuttle said. “We got to play them for so many different kinds of audiences and hear what worked and what didn’t.

“Recording the second half of the album eight months after the first half gave us a lot of time to think about what we were doing,” Scaglione added. “We ended up re-recording three songs because we felt like we could just do better.”

Rocket is set to open for the Smashing Pumpkins on select dates in August. Later in October and November, the band will embark on a headlining tour across the US and Canada, playing to audiences in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Austin, Toronto, Chicago, and more. Tickets for their headlining shows are available now (get tickets here).

Rocket was formed in 2021, and released their debut EP Versions of You in 2023.
