Shinedown have announced their new album, EI8HT, out May 29th via Atlantic Records.
The band. has also outlined an extensive 2026 world tour featuring support from Coheed and Cambria and DJ Rockfeed, as well as Black Stone Cherry and From Ashes to New on select dates. North American dates run from May 13th through mid-September, with a break during the month of June. The route includes stops in Austin, Texas; Jacksonville, Florida; Toronto; Albany, New York; Philadelphia; Las Vegas; and Vancouver, among other cities and smaller markets.
An artist ticket pre-sale for select dates begins Wednesday, February 18th, at 10 a.m. local time (sign-up to receive the pre-sale code via Shinedown’s website). General ticket sales start Friday, February 20th, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Meanwhile, Shinedown has peeled off a new single from EI8HT, titled “Safe and Sound.” Opening with huge, stadium-ready guitar riffs and cymbal crashes, the song showcases the band in its heaviest mode. Likewise, vocalist Brent Smith pushes his range to the max.
“This album is over a year in the making,” Smith commented in a press release, lauding the production work of bassist Eric Bass. “Without question as a band we pushed ourselves like never before. Especially when it comes to Eric. Myself, [guitarist] Zach [Myers], and [drummer] Barry [Kerch] are so honored to create, and work with such an extraordinary producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, musician, performer, and bandmate. We are so excited, finally announce our 8th Studio album titled EI8HT alongside our ‘Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour.’”
