The upcoming Spaceballs sequel will arrive in theaters in 2027, with Mel Brooks himself set to reprise his role as Yogurt, Amazon MGM Studios has announced. What’s more, Deadline reports that fellow OG cast members Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman will also appear in the sequel, reprising their roles as  Dark Helmet and President Skroob, respectively, while Keke Palmer is among the new cast members. Moranis’ involvement is particularly noteworthy as he has essentially been retired from acting since the mid-2000s.

Josh Greenbaum is directing the sequel from a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad. It will arrive on the 40th anniversary of the original film, which was directed and co-written by Brooks.
