Supergirl Takes on the Universe in New Full-Length Trailer: Watch

James Gunn’s Superman delivered the message that kindness is punk rock. Milly Alcock’s Supergirl, meanwhile, is just punk rock embodied. The new trailer for DC Studios’ Supergirl reveals how Superman’s hard-partying cousin Kara Zor-El handles an adventure of her own — with, of course, some assistance from Krypto the Super-dog.

When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl also stars Matthias Schoenaerts and Eve Ridley, with David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham appearing as Kara’s Kryptonian parents. Additionally, Jason Momoa pulls a Chris Evans to play intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo.
