Sylvan Esso Debut New Single “Hot Slob,” Unveil North American Tour Dates: Stream

1 hour ago 2

There’s big, big happenings in the world of Sylvan Esso. The duo are back with a new single called “Hot Slob,” and they’ve also announced a full-band tour for later this year and into next spring.

Last September, the duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn returned with “WDID,” their first new music in three years, while announcing that they’d also pulled their catalog from Spotify. Now, “Hot Slob” marks only the second release on the pair’s own Psychic Hotline label and sees Sylvan Esso “like you have never heard them before,” according to a press release. Joined by drummer TJ Maiani (Weyes Blood) and Flock of Dimes’ Jenn Wasner on vocals, the song sees Sylvan Esso embrace “the spirit and chaos of living in the glitch, punching upwards with explosive blows and a tongue-in-cheek stride.” Below, check out the corresponding music video, directed by Meath.

As for the full band tour, the first leg is slated for mid-through-late-October, including shows in Philadelphia, Boston, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Then, they’ll return to the road from late February to early March 2027, making stops in Portland, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, New Orleans, and Nashville. The presale begins at 10 a.m. local time on Thursday, June 11th. The general on-sale then commences at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, June 12th. Grab your tickets at Ticketmaster or the band’s website.

Ahead of the tour, Sylvan Esso have a few special performances in store. The first is a week-long residency from June 15th-20th at Los Angeles’ Sid the Cat Auditorium, where they’ll not only preview new music, but you can watch the full band iron things out in real-time. That residency is sold out, but you can always check for tickets on StubHub, where orders are 120% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. For more info and the possibility of further tickets opening up, check out the venue’s website.

Then, from October 8th-10th, Sylan Esso will host the first biennial Good Moon festival since 2024. Across three stages in Durham, North Carolina, the fest will feature Sylvan Esso joined by a host of musical friends, including Meshell Ndegeocello, MJ Lenderman, William Tyler & Yasmin Williams, Circuit des Yeux, and Jacques Greene, among many, many others.
