Terra Twin Announce New EP Scumbag: Hear “Parking Lot”

The British actor Maxim Baldry has been on TV shows like Hollyoaks and Years And Years, and he's currently in the cast of Amazon's Lord Of The Rings series. On top of that, Baldry is the frontman of a London-based indie band called Terra Twin, who will soon head out on a European tour with Stereogum favorites World News. Today, Terra Twin announce a new EP and drop a new single.

Baldry started Terra Twin as a solo project when he was living in New Zealand in 2020, and they're now a full London-based band. Terra Twin make twitchy and sardonic post-punk with the slightest hint of alt-country twang. They're a bit sleeker and cleaner than many of their contemporaries, and they know their way around a hook. Their EP Static Separation came out last year, and they'll soon follow it with another one called Scumbag.

The new Terra Twin single "Parking Lot" is a flinty, propulsive college-rock tune. In a press release, the band says that it "exists as a funhouse that pits an airy dreamscape against the raw reality of a dysfunctional relationship." The "Parking Lot" video consists of footage that Victor Gabrielov shot in Moscow in 1980. Below, check out that clip and the Scumbag tracklist.

TRACKLIST:
01 "Parking Lot"
02 "Fantasy Battery"
03 "Big Fist"
04 'Orange Cry"
05 "Scumbag Crying"

The self-released Scumbag EP is out 6/2.
