Today, The Bobby Lees announce that they have been signed to Epitaph Records. The trio - consisting of vocalist and guitarist Sam Quartin, drummer Macky Bowman, and bassist Kendall Wind - first formed in Woodstock, New York, in 2017 and have since released three full-length albums.
After releasing Bellevue in 2022, the band announced that they'd be taking a hiatus just a year later, with uncertainty as to whether or not it would be indefinite. "The reason we need to step back is because of the current state of the music industry. It is now set up in a way that makes it almost impossible for bands like us to economically sustain," they explain in the post.
Last August, the band's hiatus came to an end when they revealed that Jason Momoa would be supporting them to make an album, backed by his docuseries On the Roam.
Today, The Bobby Lees share that they have signed with Epitaph Records. “We’re very excited to partner with Epitaph. Everyone we’ve met who works there feels authentic and down for the cause. We’re psyched and very grateful to have found the right home at Epitaph Records," Quartin says.
They have also shared their newest single, Napoleon, their first preview of new music in two years. “Our new stuff comes from a more confident place than in the past. We’re excited to share this new music, and hopefully it’s contagious and empowers people to go towards what inspires them.”
