The Rapture is back. The Brooklyn “dance-punk” band that made waves in the early 2000s indie rock scene has announced that they’re getting back together for an international tour throughout the fall of this year.
Led by Luke Jenner, the band hasn’t performed live since March 2020, when they played at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, just before the pandemic shut down shows and events. This will be the group’s first proper tour since 2011.
Best known for 2003 album, Echoes (DFA), The Rapture stormed indie rock dance floors with their signature single, “House of Jealous Lovers,” produced by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, and Tim Goldsworthy. The band went on to produce two more full-length albums: Pieces of the People We Love in 2006, and In the Grace of Your Love in 2011.
The Rapture’s 2025 tour kicks off September 16 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, winding across North America through early October. They’re scheduled to head overseas in November, with shows in London, Berlin, Paris, and more. See the full itinerary below. For select dates, a Live Nation ticket pre-sale is set for Wednesday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. local time (use code LIGHTS) via Ticketmaster, with a public on sale following on Friday, July 11th at 10:00 a.m. local time.
