The Reds, Pinks & Purples announce new album, share “Heaven of Love”

Glenn Donaldson has announced his new The Reds, Pinks & Purples album which is titled Acknowledge Kindness and will be out April 26 via Fire Records. “This album is probably about learning to live with your ghosts and trying to be alive in the present,” says Glenn Donaldson. “There’s a certain kind of big-sounding record I aspire to make, like California by American Music Club or 16 Lover’s Lane by The Go-Betweens, works that steer into the pain but become a transportational device for the listener.”

If you’re used to the many, many DIY indiepop records RPPs have released over the last few years, the upgraded fidelity of this one may surprise you at first. The album includes recent track “New Leaf” and he’s just shared new single, “Heaven of Love,” which puts a positive spin the the kind of bummed-out earworm Donaldson does so well. Listen below.
