The Rolling Stones and Marvel Assemble Collector’s Editions of Foreign Tongues Vinyl

The Rolling Stones have assembled five Marvel characters for vinyl collector’s editions of their new album, Foreign Tongues. The rockers and the comic giant have teamed to put Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, and Hulk on the cover of the upcoming LP.

Available for pre-order now, the five variant editions feature “exclusive album artwork designed by Marvel illustrators.” The cover each depict the Marvel heroes and a different version of the Stones’ iconic mouth-and-tongue logo: Hulk lifts a double decker red bus in London, Cap busts through a poster-covered wall, Spider-Man shoots his webs in the logo’s outline, Thor’s lightning does the same, and Wolverine… well, Wolverine kinda just stands in front of the logo, but he looks cool doing it.

Each copy is pressed on red vinyl and comes with a What If… comic insert recreating the album cover as a comic book cover. See all the artwork and comic covers below.

Foreign Tongues, which features The Cure’s Robert Smith, Paul McCartney, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steve Winwood, and the late Charlie Watts, is out July 10th. The band aren’t likely to tour behind the record until at least 2027, but pre-orders for the regular and yellow box set editions of the LP are available now.
