The team behind Lies Of P has confirmed a DLC will be released next year ahead of a full sequel.
Released in 2023, Lies Of P is a “thrilling soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era”. Players take control of a puppet who’s awakened by a mysterious voice that then guides you through the plagued city of Krat, “a once lively place that has been poisoned by madness and bloodlust.”
“In our soulslike, you must adapt yourself and your weapons to face untold horrors, untangle the unfathomable secrets of the city’s elites and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on the journey to find yourself,” explained developers. Shortly after Lies Of P was released, director Ji-Won Choi said the team were planning a sequel.
Now publisher Neowiz has confirmed that work has begun on the Lies Of P sequel while the long-awaited DLC for the original will be released in the first quarter of 2025.
“For the DLC of the Lies Of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow,” Choi said earlier this year. “It might sound simple, but I find that sticking to the basics is anything but easy. We hope to turn your anticipation into delight.”
He also shared a new track from the upcoming DLC as well as some of the artwork.

The original game ended with a number of different characters revealing that Pinocchio held one of the keys to eternal life. It was then revealed that a girl named Dorothy who wears ruby red slippers holds another, suggesting the sequel could focus on The Wizard Of Oz.
A release date for the sequel has yet to be confirmed but developers are also working on a survival horror game set in a sci-fi world. “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” they said.
