Tyla – “Is It Love”

On her new single "Is It Love," Tyla asks a pressing question: "Is it love if you don't cry, cry, cry?" The latest offering from her forthcoming sophomore album A-Pop, which is out July 24, has the South African pop star wanting her lover to show some emotion to prove themselves. "Don't mean shit if I don’t see tears in those eyes," she sings during the chorus.

The new single, which follows her Zara Larsson collab "She Did It Again," combines a little electric guitar and sweltering club beats. It's giving early Rihanna, though I might also be thinking that because of the Aerin Moreno-directed video, which gives off early-2000s pop vibes.
