Fontaines D.C. brought out Kurt Vile for ‘Roman Holiday’ during their set at La Route Du Rock – check it out below. READ MORE: At home with Fontaines D.C.’s Grian Chatten: “Our personality is bigger than the sound that we make” The Dublin band closed out the final night of the festival at Fort de Saint-Père in France yesterday (August 15), while Vile and his band The Violators performed on the same stage earlier in the day. Vile then appeared during Fontaines’ set and played ‘Roman Holiday’ with the band. The collaboration was particularly fitting, as Fontaines frontman Grian Chatten has spoken about the ‘Skinty Fia‘ song being substantially inspired by Vile in the first place. The set also saw Fontaines once again air the two new songs they recently debuted at their first headline show of 2026, ‘Marianne’ and ‘Six Shot Morning’.
