The 2026 Grammys‘ In Memoriam tribute was trifold this year, starting with Reba McEntire (her first-ever performance on the awards show), Brandy Clark & Lukas Nelson performing “Trailblazer,” then the Ozzy Osbourne tribute which featured Post Malone backed by Slash & Duff McKagan, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt, and then finally Lauryn Hill led a big band tribute to D’Angelo and Roberta Flack.

The D’Angelo tribute had Lucky Daye on “Brown Sugar,” “Lady” with Raphael Saadiq & Anthony Hamilton, Leon Thomas for “Devils Pie, ” Bilal for “Another Life”/“Untitled (How Does It Feel),” and Jon Batiste for “Africa.”

The Roberta Flack tribute had Jon Batiste for “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” Leon Bridges & Alexia Jayy for “Compared to What,” Lalah Hathaway & October London for “Closer I Get to You,” and John Legend & Chaka Khan for “Where Is the Love, ” before Lauryn brought out Wyclef Jean for “Killing Me Softly With His Song” — including both Roberta’s version and the Fugee’s version.
