Sabrina Carpenter covered Dexys Midnight Runners‘ 1982 hit ‘Come On Eileen’ at a show in London at the weekend – check it out below.
Carpenter is currently in the middle of her ‘Short N’ Sweet’ tour dates and her show includes a ‘Spin The Bottle’ segment, where she randomly chooses what to sing next, usually a cover or live debut.
During her second show at The O2 on Sunday (March 9), she landed on ‘Come On Eileen’. The covers on the tour so far have generally been older classics, including ABBA‘s ‘Mamma Mia’, Madonna‘s ‘Material Girl’ and Rick James‘s ‘Super Freak’.

Elsewhere in the show, Carpenter “arrested” Spice Girls’ Emma Bunton with fluffy pink handcuffs for the crime of “being too hot”.
“You’re kind of spicing up my life a little bit… My clothes are falling off,” Carpenter said to the audience as the pop icon was seen looking shocked on the monitors. “Emma would you please do me the honours of being mine forever. They match your top!”
She has already completed the US leg of the tour, which saw her also “arrest” Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown in Georgia.
Brown would later go on to celebrate the moment online, and admit it was her idea to be called out by the ‘Espresso’ hitmaker.
The singer’s tour is set to continue across the UK and Europe over the spring. The UK stint of the tour will wrap up later this week with two shows at Manchester’s Co-Op Live on Thursday and Friday (March 13-14). Later this year, she will play two nights at the BST Hyde Park summer series in London. Visit here for remaining tickets.
The shows also come after Carpenter made a star-studded appearance at the BRITs 2025 – opening the ceremony with a medley of songs and dividing fans at home.
