What would you do if U2 knocked on your door? Earlier this year, Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. stopped by one Mexico City family’s domicile while filming the music video for “Street of Dreams” with a request. Thunder and rain had caused a generator powering their video shoot near Plaza Santo Domingo to die, and the band needed a back-up location. That turned out to be the family’s private balcony—watch the final product below.
“Street of Dreams” is the first preview of a forthcoming U2 LP, which is still untitled. That record, due out later this year, will mark their first studio album since 2017’s Songs of Experience. They reemerged in February with two EPs, Days of Ash and Easter Lily. The former featured a cameo from Ed Sheeran, and was accompanied by a 54-page zine.
