Yard Act's James Smith makes debut solo appearance on new Murkage Dave single, "Generation Left On Read"

"Generation Left On Read" is the latest preview of Murkage Dave's upcoming album Brut Thoughts. The collaboration between Dave and James Smith came of a quick meeting, when Dave flew to Munich just for an afternoon to record with Smith while Yard Act was touring with The Hives. The single marks Smith's first appearance as his solo project, KONOPINSKY.

Speaking about the new track, Murkage Dave explains: “I definitely feel like part of this generation where nothing came true for us. And as a result everything is drenched in irony. Everything is a meme. To the point where being genuinely passionate about anything feels almost alien. But as the homie ‘salute’ says, PASSION IS BACK, and I’m fully into letting people know it’s okay to care.”
