On “Punk Rocky,” the Harlem rapper channels heartbreak with lyrics like, “She ain’t gon’ be in my life no more/ Got me crying in the microphone/ Let me shout on the megaphone/ That ho ain’t my type no more.”

Presumably, he isn’t alluding to his relationship with Rihanna, but who knows?

The accompanying music video was co-directed by Rocky with Folkert Verdoorn and Simon Becks, and stars Winona Ryder, Danny Elfman, Thundercat, and A$AP Nast. According to a press release, it portrays five out of six of Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb alter egos, with Rocky himself playing GR1M, Tommy Revenge as RUGAHAND, Thoto as BABUSHKA BOI, the Williams twins as SHIRTHEAD, and DUMMY.

Rocky’s last album, TESTING, was released in 2018. Pre-orders for Don’t Be Dumb are ongoing.
