“Alone In Your Garden” follows previous single “Bloodlust” as the second preview of the upcoming EP, and is noted to be the most gothic take on their sound to date. It arrives alongside a video which compiles footage from their recent tour.
Discussing the song, guitarist and vocalist George Curtis says: "This song was written during Autumn over a particularly cold couple of days. I was inspired by the very unique feeling of that time of year, the smell of the air, the falling leaves, the damp stillness that all feels so specifically English. I was trying to invoke those feelings within a song. The song was an attempt at mixing old English folk, with all its folklore and emphasis on tales, with the gothic sound that I am drawn to."
Over the past eighteen months, Bloodworm have made a stir with their live shows, leading them to support Suede on their sold-out tour last month. The band will soon be hitting the road again for a tour in support of Blood & Lust, which will kick off on 29 April in Glasgow, with dates in Manchester, Cardiff, London, and more.
