Bon Jovi have announced an all-star reimagining of their 2024 album, Forever. Dubbed Forever (Legendary Edition) and due out October 24th via Island Records, the new version of the LP features collaborations with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Avril Lavigne, Jason Isbell, Robbie Williams, Jelly Roll, and Lainey Wilson.
Other guests include James Bay (on the semi-title track “Legendary”), OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Billy Falcon, The War & Treaty, Joe Elliot, Marcus King, and Carin León for a bilingual take on “We Made It Look Easy / Hicimos Que Pareciera Fácil.” The 14-song collection also includes the brand new single “Red, White, and Jersey,” set to release on Friday, August 29th alongside the Springsteen-featuring “Hollow Man.”
According to a press statement from frontman Jon Bon Jovi, the concept for the reimagining was “borne out of necessity.” Jovi underwent vocal cord surgery following the band’s 2022 tour, and while he’d recovered enough to record Forever, “the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still out of reach for me. Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need. All are great singers, artists, and also just great people. The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit — a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.”

Although Jon Bon Jovi may not yet be ready for a full-fledged tour, he has made recent efforts to return to the stage. Last summer, Bon Jovi played a surprise gig at the singer’s new bar, JBJ’s Nashville.
