Box of Cats Treats the Dancefloor with ‘Litterbox 18’

Spring may be a season of renewal, but Box of Cats is here to remind you that nothing beats a good dose of something playful. Renaming themselves temporarily as “Box of Chocolates” for the easter holiday, the label dropped Litterbox 18 to give you that much-needed sugar rush on the dancefloor.

Unlike a typical compilation, Litterbox 18 leans into the unexpected. Over months of crate-digging, Box of Cats has gathered a roster of returning favorites and fresh names, with artists pushing beyond the ordinary to give you some real bite with peak-time and late-night groovers alike. Litterbox 18 spans five tech house tracks, four bass house cuts, one techno track, and a playful electro number.

Past favorites from the label—Reginald, Good Neighbour, and Carlos Pineda—share space with a new wave of artists, including Balanka, King Fluff, BENK, Boothed, and Rayes. While each track proves there’s no single style the Litterbox series can’t tackle, a few stuck out among the bunch.

SHDWS‘ “One More Lie” is a vibey bass house ride that layers vocals over a subdued beat that has just enough energy to create a dancefloor explosion. Ghetto Birds‘ “Magic” offers a dose of electro that makes it a perfect fit for those peak festival hours when the world is spinning. If you need a dose of tech house, Blame Mate has you covered with the fresh and funky grooves on “Strange Sisters.” Finally, the sole techno cut from Reginald and Y-DAPT, “Sunshine Awakens,” is a tune that will melt your mind with its deep, hypnotic nature.
