Eminem Puts the Spotlight on His Stans in New Trailer for Documentary: Watch

Eminem has dropped a new trailer for his hotly anticipated documentary Stans, a raw, unfiltered look at the world of superfans, including the good, the bad, and the borderline terrifying. Watch the trailer below.

The documentary, co-produced by Slim Shady himself, will hit theaters around the globe for a limited run from August 7th through 10th. Tickets are available now at stansmovie.com, with international sales opening July 24th.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Steven Leckart, Stans dives deep into the culture Eminem accidentally helped define with his 2000 track “Stan” — a song that gave the internet one of its most enduring terms for obsessive fandom. Fast-forward 25 years, and the word “stan” has taken on a life of its own. Now, Eminem is flipping the mirror back on the audience.

The movie has been billed as “revealing, edgy, and disarmingly personal,” promising to highlight real stories from diehard Eminem fans — the kind who live and breathe every lyric, tattoo every verse, and in some cases, toe the line between dedication and delusion.

It’s been a busy year for the Rap God — Eminem is also set to appear in Happy Gilmore 2, releasing July 25th, in a cameo that’s already generating plenty of buzz. In April, he became a grandfather when his daughter Hailie Jade welcomed her first child.

And in completely unrelated, but hilarious news, Ray Romano was recently seen singing “Lose Yourself” at karaoke during a celebrity golf tournament. See footage below.
