ENTERPRISE EARTH's GABE MANGOLD Joins DEVILDRIVER

DevilDriver split with Mike Spreitzer in 2024 and they've finally got themselves a replacement! DevilDriver has announced guitarist Gabe Mangold (Enterprise Earth, Dead Icarus, The Beauty & The Horror, etc.) as Spreitzer's replacement, and apparently they're working on new music. Or at least that's what I'm assuming "Wait til you HEAR what's coming" means.

On the new addition, DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara said: "There's not enough I can say about Gabe both as a person & SHREDDING guitar player! We have so many things to post but this post is about all of you giving him a warm DD welcome! Gabe came into my life at a pretty Dark time late last year and we've become close, his skills on guitar, his humble attitude and down to earth nature is the hallmark of a 'good human.'

"To have both him and Alex Lee playing together with me makes up the most powerful unit I think we've ever had …Wait til you HEAR what's coming! #thecaliforniagroovemachine"

Mike Spreitzer quit DevilDriver after 20 years, saying he didn't feel like it was a full time job for the past 10 years as the main reason, and that he never intended his side project Verona On Venus to become his main gig. On his side project, Spreitzer said "the mere creation of my side project was met with a heavy amount of negativity from a specific individual that made things extremely uncomfortable for me."

Spreitzer later the "specific individual" was DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara. Spreitzer also mentioned that he was cool with Fafara reforming Coal Chamber twice while he was in the band, and isn't sure why a side project would be a big deal.
