Nine Inch Nails' festival 'Future Ruins' have just announced the cancellation of their event being held on November 8th in Los Angeles. Supposed to be held in the Los Angeles Equestrian Center with over 15 artists scheduled to perform electronic sets that focused on film scores. Originally teased in April of 2024, the event was announced in May, and was cancelled on Friday evening.
In a statement posted to Instagram, and to the Future Ruins website, the festival explains:
"Unfortunately Future Ruins will not move forward this year. The reality is, due to a number of logistical challenges and complications, we feel we cannot provide the experience that's defined what this event was always intended to be. Rather than compromise, we're choosing to re-think and re-evaluate. Meanwhile, we are sorry for inconvenience and appreciate all the interest and support. Refunds will be automatically issued and ticket holders will receive an email with more information."
It should be noted that nearly a third of the artists slated to perform at Future Ruins are international artists, and other festivals themselves are currently running into complications with international artists dropping out.

- Cristobal Tapia de Veer
- Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow
- Danny Elfman
- Claudio Simonetti
- Hildur Guðnadóttir
