Jarvis Cocker and Marie Davidson remix Baxter Dury for new EP (listen)

Baxter Dury released his great new album Allbarone earlier this year and he’s now shared some very cool remixes on a new EP.

Allbarone‘s title track has been remixed by Parrot & Cocker Too, which is Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and DJ Parrot. (They previously reworked “Miami” back in 2017.) They’ve given “Allbarone” a lot more forward thrust, turning this French Touch-esque banger into a full-on dancefloor stormer.

Marie Davidson, meanwhile, strips back disco number “Schadenfreude” into something slinkier and sexier. This may be better than the original, and if you like Marie’s fantastic new album City of Clowns, you’ll dig this too. There’s also an instrumental version of Davidson’s remix here as well.
