KAVARI to make XL Recordings debut with upcoming EP, PLAGUE MUSIC

PLAGUE MUSIC will be released as part of XL Recordings' House Bag series. It's built upon KAVARI's 2022 EP Suture, which not only led to underground buzz but also caught the attention of her contemporaries, including Aphex Twin, who featured her songs during his live sets. "IRON VEINS" was the first demo written for the EP and arrives as the first preview of KAVARI's newest work, with the accompanying music video portraying a "darker, more psychologically twisted" version of Alice in Wonderland

KAVARI wrote PLAGUE MUSIC over the course of a year, and went on to produce it it in her Glasgow home. The EP sees her draw from drum & bass, dubstep, and noise, using sound design to give the songs a "tangible, bodily presence".
