Vermont-based songwriter Lily Seabird has shared “Demon in Me”, her first new single of 2026.
“Demon in Me” follows Seabird’s third album Trash Mountain released last April, and comes ahead of a spring US tour and summer UK dates, which will include an appearance at End of the Road festival in Dorset.
Seabird describes the song as being on “the dark side”. ”Probably a symptom of anxiety or depression,” she explains. “The beginning of the song I talk about this longing for freedom. Whether it’s freedom from the demon or letting the demon be free, I’m not really sure, but by the end the music is supposed to embody that.”
